Manfred Frings' Max Scheler Web Site
This web site focuses on German Philosopher Max Scheler (1874-1928) and includes text, bibliography, historical photographs, and paintings. VISION COMPUTING designed and implemented the web site for Dr. Manfred Frings, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy and internationally known author and expert on the work of Scheler. The site also includes a detailed bibliographic references in ten languages, information on The International Max-Scheler-Society (Internationale Max Scheler Gesellschaft), and many historical photographs and paintings. The Scheler web site has received very good reviews. Here's some of the
comments so far.
September 22, 1997 I have just been through your Scheler site. It is fantastically beautiful.... Grasping for words, I can only think of how my daughter used to use the now-outmoded teen word 'awesome.'
Philosophy Department Florida Atlantic University September 22, 1997 The Site is excellent. I know just enough to realize how much work you have put into it. You should be proud of it. Not only is it well laid out, and with the most important information in place, your layout of the categories will allow it to grow as you add material. Rest easy. You have performed another great service to Scheler scholarship... ...congratulations on the successful launch of the Max Scheler site. Champagne, or better yet a good German wine or beer, is in order.
Philosophy Department Marywood University September 22, 1997 The Scheler web site is spectacular!
Department of Religion and Philosophy Lenoir Rhyne College October 8, 1997 The site looks very good, and will be of use not only to students and scholars, but to persons wishing to meet others who share an interest in the works of the philosopher.
